Alexander Wang seems once again to establish himself in the firmament of the top designers. A collection -autumn/winter 2012 - that does not belies his great daring in terms of fabrics, cuts, patterns, meanings and signifiers: the color black dominates as fact and as part of a dark and difficult existence. The thick that characterize the materials is symbolically assimilated to a sort of armor, which, with its simple and pure features performs the task of protecting, shielding, and divide.

Interesting is the unusual combination of strong and durable materials as leather, with the lightly fragility of the network, fused together in a skilled and knowledgeable concatenation of solids and voids, actually perceptible and tangible essence of matter, along with a real dematerialization of a fabric that changes in a non-woven, becoming a sort of filter intended as a last offshoot of the coat (while being part of a simple juxtaposition of layers).

Alexander Wang sembra ancora una volta affermarsi nel firmamento dei top designers. Una collezione -autunno/inverno 2012- che non smentisce la sua grande audacia in fatto di tessuti, tagli, modelli, significati e significanti: il nero domina infatti come colore e come componente di una esistenza buia e difficile. Il forte spessore che caratterizza i materiali viene assimilato simbolicamente ad una sorta di corazza, che con le sue fattezze semplici e pure assolve il compito di proteggere, schermare, dividere.

Interessante è l'insolito accoppiamento di materiali forti e resistenti come la pelle, alla leggera fragilità della rete, fusi insieme in una sapiente e consapevole concatenazione di pieni e vuoti, di essenza materica effettivamente percepibile e tangibile, insieme ad una vera e propria smaterializzazione di un tessuto che cambia in non-tessuto, diventando una sorta di filtro inteso come propaggine ultima della giacca (pur essendo parte di una semplice giustapposizione di layer).
