Frames

A fresh breath of lightness and femininity dominated by strong and vivid colors, I would call the latest spring/summer 2012 collection by Ana Locking. The fabrics are dynamic, characterized by geometric and asymmetrical cuts (whose daring, however, is decidedly more modest than the older collections), the colors are absolutely defined, sharp, almost as if they were ideally sculpted in to the clothing, ranging from a fiery red reaching hue such as electric blue, canary yellow, black oil, beige, and gray smoke. The fabrics, which seem to fluctuate with a lightness almost negligible (except for the jackets, inevitably heavier) are sometimes finely members of the body, like a hug that surrounds elegantly the female figure, sometimes are softer and fall much more free making the grace of the body accompanied by the air friction that gently swells the tissues making them even more different.
Ana remains true: her ongoing research focuses increasingly on new avant-gardein frontiers in order to be able to stand out always with great elegance and charm.

Una fresca ventata di leggerezza e di femminilità dominata da colori forti e vividi, oserei definire l'ultima collezione primavera/estate 2012 di Ana Locking. I tessuti sono dinamici, caratterizzati da tagli geometrici ed asimmetrici (il cui ardimento è decisamente più modesto però rispetto alle vecchie collezioni); i cromatismi sono assolutamente definiti, netti, quasi come fossero idealmente scolpiti sugli abiti, e spaziano dal rosso fuoco, raggiungendo tonalità come il blu elettrico, il giallo canarino, il nero petrolio, beige, e grigio fumè. I tessuti, che sembrano fluttuare con una leggerezza quasi inconsistente (salvo rare eccezioni come le giacche, inevitabilmente più pesanti) talvolta sono finemente aderenti al corpo femminile, come un abbraccio che cinge elegantemente la figura femminile, talvolta scendono morbidi e decisamente più liberi per lasciare che la grazia del corpo sia dolcemente accompagnata anche dall'attrito dell'aria che gonfia i tessuti rendendoli sempre diversi.

Ana non si smentisce: la sua continua ricerca verte sempre su nuove frontiere di avanguardia per poter essere in grado di distinguersi sempre con grande eleganza e fascino.
